Grove City Lacrosse Club

Grove City Lacrosse Club (GCLC) is a non-profit organization created to promote the great game on lacrosse in and around the Southwestern Columbus Communities. The Club is made up of parent volunteers.

  • High School Registration begins in August and we will continue to add kids till Mid February.  

  • Middle School Registration begins in November and runs through February. 
  • 3/4th and 5/6th Grade registration is through GCKA and runs December through February 15th
  • The cost to participate varies at each level of participation.  The prices range from $200 per kid at the GCKA level to $430 for the High School Boys team.   In addition a USA Lacrosse Membership is Required to participate and runs $35/year

  • Boys field players are required to use a helmet, stick, gloves, shoulder pads, arm pads, a mouthguard and a protective cup. Rib pads are optional. Goalies are also required to wear a helmet with face mask, a separate throat protector, padded gloves and a chest protector.
  • Minimal equipment is required in girls’ and women’s lacrosse due to its non-contact nature. A stick, mouthguard and protective eyewear are the only required items for most players. Headgear and close fitting gloves are optional for field players. Goalies are also required to wear a helmet with face mask, a separate throat protector, padded gloves and a chest protector.

  • GCLC youth program will participate in the Central Ohio Youth Lacrosse League (COYLL).
  • GCLC middle school will participate in the Ohio Middle School Lacrosse Association (OMSLA).
  • Both the Boys and Girls High School teams will play other area High Schools
  • GCLC youth will be scheduled against other local communities who also participate in COYLL.
  • GCLC middle school will be scheduled against other local middle school programs.
  • Lacrosse is a spring sport running typically from March to end of May.
  • GCLC youth (GCKA) will start practices beginning of March and games will be played on
    Sundays starting around the end of March.
  • GCLC middle school will start practices towards the end of February  and games are
    typically played during the week starting around March.
The season usually lasts until end of May or first week of June (depending on tournaments).
  • 3rd/4th (Juniors) and 5th/6th (Seniors) play home games at GCKA Murfin Field.
  • Boys and Girls Varsity and JV teams will play home games at Grove City High School.
  • Middle School teams will play home games at Brook Park Middle School.
  • Varsity Boys, JV, Middle School and the 5th/6th Grade (Senior) programs play with 11 kids on the field at a time.  Teams will have between 15-22 players typically.
  • 3rd/4th Grade (Junior) teams will have 7 players on the field.  Teams will have between 10-15 players typically.
  • Girls High School teams play with 12 players on the field at a time.  Teams will have between 15-22 players typically. 
  • 3rd/4th (Juniors) play 7v7
  • 5th/6th (Seniors) play 11v11
  • Middle School boys play 11v11
  • High School Boys play 11v11
  • High School Girls play 12v12
